Old Yeller

• Old yeller is the main character in this book.
  In the beginning of the story he is more loyal to
  Arliss then Travis. Later in the story he
  becomes more loyal to Travis then Arliss. I like
  him because he is the main character and he will
  do anything to protect the family.

Travis

• Travis is the second main character in the story.
  I think he is brave and wants to take care of
  the family while the dad is gone.

Old yeller gets rabies. Living at Travis's
house. Dog is what Old yeller is. Yells
lots. Eats eggs. Licks Arliss. Licks Travis. Ends
up dieing. Rips up enemies.

Arliss





Arliss is annoying in the beginning of the
story. Later in the story he becomes less
annoying. In part of the story he is saved by
Old Yeller from a angry bear. I do not like him
because he always is screaming.

Mama
I think that mama is very caring for others. She
does not like Travis to mark the hogs for fear
of him getting snipped up to pieces.

Bird song creek
Bird song creek is where they live. Mama named
it that because the birds there always sing.

Pear flats
The pear flats is where the spiky pears grow. It
is also where Travis and old yeller found the
cave the band of wild hogs were in.

The Garden
The garden grows many vegetables and fruits. The
fruits and vegetables are watermelons, peas,some
corn and more. They have to be careful to not
let any wild animals eat the plants that grow
there.

Jumper
I think jumper is kind of stubborn because he
stops doing his job when ever he wants to. I
also think he has a lot of work when ever he
wants to.

Spot
Spot is a very wild cow that wont take care of
her calf. I dont like spot because she is to
wild.

The roan bull had a big fight with the other
bull They rammed the fence down and almost
Travis to .

The Ending

I think the ending is not that good. Why? Go
read the book and see for yourself.

I think people who like dogs should read this
book.

I like this book
I like this book because it has lots of
description. I also like it because Travis and
Old Yeller have tons of adventures
