Title: Conserving Natural Resources
1Conserving Natural Resources
2You Will Learn
- How we can conserve energy and water sources.
- Resources people are using up.
- How losing natural resources can affect us.
3How We Can Conserve Energy and Water Sources
- Most of the energy sources we need are limited.
If we use them all up, they will be gone. Some of
these resources are coal, oil, and natural gas.
- There is water everywhere on Earth. Sadly, we
cannot drink most of the water. The water we can
drink is usually getting wasted, or getting
dumped out.

5Energy and water resources are limited, or either
wasted almost everywhere in the world. To keep
water from disappearing, we can fix broken sinks,
turn off water when brushing teeth, turn off the
sprinkler when it is raining, and more. To
conserve energy, we can find ways to make energy
other than using gas, oil, or electricity. There
are many ways we can conserve energy, we just
have to look hard enough.
6Resources People are Using Up
- A lot of people want so many things. Most of the
things they want are made out of limited natural
resources. - People use resources for making pencils,
industry, etc. - Once people use all of our resources, they will
be gone forever. - It is important to conserve our natural
resources, otherwise, we will have nothing in the
future.
7Finite Resources
- Most resources that are finite, or able to run
out, are also very limited. These resources are -
- aluminum -
- copper -
- iron -
- The resources above are used almost every day.
The resources are used in pencils, coins, etc.
8Use Resources Wisely
- Resources are very important to our community.
They are also mostly used almost everywhere in
the world. - Use your resources wisely, and dont waste
anything. - The longer we can keep up on recycling, the
longer our resources will stay with us, and the
longer we will have our everyday items.
9How Does Losing Natural Resources Affect Us?
- Losing our resources, such as rainforests, affect
almost everything. - It affects animals, humans, plants, trees,
anything you can think of. - If we keep on cutting down our rainforests, we
might lose a lot of living things.
10Whats in the Rainforest?
-
- In the rainforests, are trees, animals,
and plants. When a rainforest is either cut down,
or burnt by a wild fire, we lose many of our
resources. - The trees, and plants give off our
oxygen, and the animals help with making plants
grow, and some bugs fertilize the ground. - Many living creatures help us with our
lives, and we are just bringing them down.
11What Are the Consequences?
- Forests are disappearing very quickly. If we keep
at it, there will be less animals, less oxygen,
and less plants. - If nobody starts to help the rainforests, there
will be no more left at all. - Remember, If the forests go down, we start to
bring ourselves down too.
12What Could We Do? Why?
- To help conserve natural resources, we could
recycle any used items, or even find ways to keep
our resources in good use. - To save the rainforests, we could recycle paper,
so we dont keep cutting trees for more. We could
try and give it our best effort in stopping wild
fires, and even preventing it. - We have to conserve our resources or they will be
gone forever. When they disappear, your life will
get more difficult. You may have no more paper,
no more pencils. Try and do anything from making
resources disappear.
