• Working through
• Making patient see herself relationship with the
  world from a different perspective
• This is done by therapist repeating points that
  the therapist and pt agree on only through
  repetition will pt be able to incorporate new
  information
• Test new interpretations
• Pt should watch evaluate new consequences
• Pt should apply new interpretations to future
• Pt has the ability to choose what appropriate
  action is necessary when confronting a conflict
