Shelters
  • Tents Need to stand up to strong wind and heavy
    snow
  • You should bury your tent pegs
  • Shovel the snow away from the place where
    youwant to set up the tent

Cooking
  • Avoid taking fresh food in the winter. These all
    contain water and weigh a lot. Except cheese,
    butter, or meats
  • Take mostly dry foods (cereal, pasta, rice,
    wheat, oatmeal,) freeze dried foods (expensive
    but very lightweight and quick to cook)
  • Bring a chair
  • Canister stoves can freeze, put it in your jacket
    before use
  • Water source lakes, snow DO NOT EAT SNOW
  • Put your water bottle upside down to prevent
    freezing
  • Take Amanda with you, because she can lick/clean
    dishes for you

Sleeping Wise
  • You need a sleeping bag but if you are hardcore
    you dont need other covers.
  • Bring a mat otherwise you will be freezing.
  • Make sure you go to the bathroom before going to
    bed.
  • Share your stuff. Get closer.

Bathroom
  • Decide an area where you can bury your bio waste
    and make big business. )
  • Set up your bathroom a bit away from your camp.
  • You can use toilet paper but if youre hardcore
    then you should try snowballs.

Camp Fire
  • Make a few small ones so everyone can be around
    one very close and warm up
