• It requires specialized preparation
• You assume added risk.
• High Adventure activities require
• properly trained adults.
• Your unit should make sure at least 2 adults have
  proper instruction in Winter Camping.
• Set up Winter Camping classes for boys.
• Schedule pack shakedown sessions before first
  winter campout.
• Communicate equipment needs and instructions with
  parents especially new Scouts as they join.
