• Over two thirds of the worlds plant species are
  in the Tropical rainforest.
• Most of the worlds oxygen supply comes from the
  tropical rainforest also.
• Plants in the tropical rainforest are so
  interesting and are so beautiful to look at with
  their bright colors or green shades.

Epiphyte

• Epiphyte can be found almost anywhere in the
  Tropical Rainforest.
• It grows on top of tree trunks.
• It is beautiful colors.
• It normally grows on other plants for support.

Bromeliads

• Bromeliads are related to the pineapple family.
• They have thick leaves shaped like bowls to catch
  water.
• They can hold gallons of water and are like an
  ecosystem in them self's. Animals live in them.

Saprophytes

• Saprophytes act as the tropical rainforests
  decomposers.
• Some Saprophytes are so small that they cannot by
  seen with the naked eye.

Buttress roots

• The soil is very week so trees have to have short
  roots.
• Some very tall trees have developed additional
  support by growing Buttress roots.
• Buttress roots are roots that grow out of the
  base of the trunk and can grow up to 15 feet
  above the ground.
