1Welcome toMidtown Vineyard!
2No More Road Rage Gal. 516-21, 24
3Yet to all who received him Jesus, to those who
believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God (John 112) For God so loved
the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life. (John 316)
410 And we pray this in order that you may live a
life worthy of the Lord and may please him in
every way bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God, 11being
strengthened with all power according to his
glorious might so that you may have great
endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving
thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to
share in the inheritance of the saints in the
kingdom of light. (Col. 110-12)
5 The acts of the sinful nature flesh are
obvious sexual immorality, impurity and
debauchery 20 idolatry and witchcraft hatred,
discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish
ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy
drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as
I did before, that those who live like this will
not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians
519-21)
6Fits of Rage Passionate, temporary outbursts of
anger. Volcanic eruptions to crush or dominate
others. Selfish wrath.
7Selfish Ambition Self-aggrandizing at others
expense. Self-absorbed to get ahead.
8Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain
conceit, but in humility consider others better
than yourselves. Each of you should look not
only to your own interests, but also to the
interests of others. (Philippians 23-4)
9 Dissensions disunity strife within the
Church over personalities or personal preferences.
10 Factions A party spirit creating plots
and intrigue to divide people.
11 Envy Wants what others
have. Regards another person
with ill-will simply because of what
he/she has. Cannot appreciate
ones own blessings because
focus is on what others have.
12Drunkenness Excessive consumption of alcoholic
beverages. Weakens rational and moral control
over words and actions. Opens one to sin and
demonic attack. Orgies Over the top sexual
immorality. Often hand in hand with
drunkenness.
13The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of
the world. On the contrary, they have divine
power to demolish strongholds. We demolish
arguments and every pretension that sets itself
up against the knowledge of God, and we take
captive every thought to make it obedient to
Christ. (2 Corinthians 104-5)
14Remorse ? Repentance
15Remorse ? Repentance Remorse feeling badly
that a sin has been revealed Repentance
Choosing to change the direction you are going
engaging the power of God to help you. Jesus
not you is the God over your life
