Average Truck Turnaround Time
  • As per the chart
  • Showcase the time taken for an importer
    or an exporter to deliver or receive their
    container to / from the port. The truck movement
    is calculated from the time it enters the port
    and the time it booked out from port gate
  • In 2013 the average truck turnaround time was
    1.5 hours which reduced to less than 20 minutes
    in 2015

  • Notes- The previous tariff allowed ports to
    charge time and a half during the weekends
    and double time during the public holidays,
    of the base rates.
  • Undefined charges
  • Many hidden charges, such as overtime, meal
    money, transport allowances, etc.
  • The aforementioned fees charges, discouraged
    the stakeholders to use the port services during
    afterhours, weekends holidays.
