Personal Tidbits
  • I was born in New York and grew up on the east
    coast
  • I have traveled the world extensively and alone
    most of the time
  • I enjoy the outdoors, friends, sailing, art,
    music, laughter, teaching, learning, and my family

Partial Employment History
  • I have been employed as an air freight manager, a
    sailing instructor, a self employed boat
    letterer, musician, and band agent
  • I have my Masters of Science degree in Education
    and an Elementary Credential
  • I worked with the Torrance Unified School
    District for 14 years
  • Ive taught at ECC since 2004. I have taught both
    on campus and at the mens federal prison on
    Terminal Island

Build Your Levels of Responsibility!
  • Be Responsible!
  • Show up for class, ON TIME!
  • Know the expectations of your instructor and do
    your work!
  • Have at least 2, if not more, study buddies in
    each of your classes
  • Try to pick other students who take success
    seriously

Build Your Levels of Flexibility!
  • Be Flexible!
  • When assignments are changed, go with the flow.
  • Create a life outside of school that will allow
    you to succeed
  • Incorporate back ups for work and home
  • Trade babysitting
  • Trade work schedules
  • Eat healthy, exercise, and sleep!
  • Plan work time and playtime!

  • The outside world will try to stop you from
    succeeding!

  • Just do it and do it NOW! Dont procrastinate!
  • Keep in mind that school is harder with work and
    a family, but you can do it with time management
    and organization!
