• You will explore the concept of continuity (how
  things stay the same) through patterns, and you
  will learn a definition for patterns through
  songs and a rap.

• As you discover patterns in nature, you will
  learn the difference between living organisms and
  nonliving objects.

• Can you recognize natural patterns and man-made
  patterns? We will work at identifying these two
  kinds of patterns.

• You will learn about cycles of time as you
  discover cycles as they exist in hours, days,
  weeks, and in the months of the year.

• As you observe nature, you will find continuous
  cycles in nature. We will examine the weather to
  search for these kinds of cycles.

• You will look at the life cycles of plants and
  animals, too!

• As we investigate the cycles of the past,
  present, and future, you will learn about change
  in the life of America's early settlers and the
  lives of a Pilgrim family.

• It is going to be an exciting six weeks as we
  explore patterns and cycles!
