Each of us lives in a house, but we also live in
a community. Our community is part of a county,
state, and country. It is on a continent, and a
planet.

We are going to learn about our community and all
the places that we belong to.

Each of us will find information using the
Internet, and encyclopedias on the places that we
live. We will also seek out the knowledge of
experts.

Working in teams, we will take the information
and put it into PowerPoint slide shows.

Each slide will have the following information

• A title
• Location
• Population
• The fraction of the population that you represent
• Size of the place
• The name of the governing leader (mayor,
  governor, president) of that place
• An interesting fact about that place.
