I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United

- I pledge I promise
- allegiance to be true or loyal
- So the Pledge of Allegiance really says
I promise to be true and loyal to the flag of
the United States of America. And to the
republic for which it stands, one nation, under
God, indivisible with liberty and justice for
all.

- The American flag is made up of 3 colors
- red stands for the blood that was shed for
our country - white stands for the purity of our country
- blue stands for the perseverance of our
country
