• Christmas is one of the biggest Christian
  holidays. It Christians celebrate the birth of
  the Son of God, Jesus Christ. According to the
  Gospel of Luke that happened in the city of
  Bethlehem, Judea province.
• Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas. When
  Catholics and Protestants Christmas is the most
  revered holiday. Christmas is one of the 20
  religious holidays in Bulgaria. It notes on

• Christmas marks the beginning of a new era. The
  creator of the new era, the Roman monk Dionysius
  Exiguus calculated that Jesus Christ was born of
  the 754, from the founding of Rome. Christmas is
  a time limit and the celebration of holidays for
  Christians.
• In early Christianity Christmas holiday no
  sustainable date. Eastern Churches celebrate this
  event (Epiphany) - January 6 since the time of
  Emperor Constantine the Great, before 336 in the
  third century Origen exhorts Christians not to
  celebrate this day, stating that on that day the
  righteous Job and Jeremiah the prophet mourned
  (Job 14 4 Jeremiah 2014).

• In Bulgaria festivities begin on December 24 -
  Christmas Eve. Throughout Bulgaria run waits. In

• From the Orthodox point of view, the table does

• In predominantly Christian countries,
  Christmas is the most economically significant
  holiday of the year and is celebrated as a
  secular holiday in many countries with small
  Christian population. Associated with the
  exchange of gifts in the family, and gifts from
  Santa Claus and other mythical characters.

Christmas tree

• Christmas tree is decorated fir (or other
  conifer) for Christmas (or Christmas),
  distributed and New Year holiday (Christmas
  tree).

The custom of the Christmas tree in the world

• For the first time, the tree became a
  Christmas tree in Germany. Older Germans believed
  that there lives the spirit of the forest, which
  protects them, and later the evergreen color of
  the branches it has meant eternal faith in
  Christ. German customs come from and the one tree
  to decorate with toys under the Christmas tree
  lights and leaving many gifts.
