Somatotyping
  • What is it?
  • Success in sport depends to a large extent on
    your build.
  • Somatotyping is a way to describe build.
  • It looks at how much fat, how muscular you are
    and how linear you are, in that order.

  • Somatotypes are rated.
  • Each is measured on a scale of 1-7.
  • 1 Low
  • 7 High

Extreme endomorph
  • Wide hips narrow shoulders (pear shaped).
  • Fat.
  • Fat on upper arms and thighs.
  • Slim wrists and ankles.

  • Broad shoulders, narrow hips (wedge shaped).
  • Large head.
  • Muscular.
  • Strong forearms and thighs.
  • Very little body fat.
