  objects and people.

• Use SER to indicate origin, nationality, or
  profession.
• Mi tía es escritora. Es de Madrid.

  takes place.
• El concierto es el viernes. Es en el teatro.
• Use SER to indicate possession.

• Use ESTAR to describe temporary characteristics,
  emotional states, or conditions.
