• Uses only coefficients.
• Procedure
• Use each terms coefficient
• Divide by the root (not the factor)
• Bring first coefficient down
• Multiply/Add/Repeat

• Pros of Synthetic Division
• Much quicker than polynomial division
• Can check whether something is a root much
  faster.
• Once you get down to x2, you can factor or use
  quadratic formula to find the remaining roots!
