1. have clear aims (learning outcomes)
2. contain scaffolding
3. cater for learner diversity through multiple
   intelligence
4. be thematically linked
5. include assessment of learning (summative) and
   assessment for learning (formative)

• Step by step sequential (from easy to advanced
  tasks)
• Target skills should be revisited
• With core and extended curriculum and
  assessment (reinforcing each other)
• Content should be linked by themes/topics and
  text types
• Should be closely monitored, evaluated and
  improved

Good integration should

• not be compartmentalized
• include inside and outside classroom experiences
• cater for learner diversity
• include co-curricular activities
• collaborate with other KLAs
