- In 2000, Manningham Council delegates attended
Conferences in the United States to learn more
about the benefits of promoting good Character in
the community. - As a result, Manningham declared itself a City of
Character and Manningham Promoting Character
(MPC) was formed.
4- MPC consists of volunteers who
- Encourage the community to promote character
- Recognise individuals and groups displaying good
character
5Vision Statement
- The Vision for Manningham,
- in promoting good character,
- is to create
- a safer, more caring,
- more co-operative community
- for all people
- in all activities.
6 Mission Statement
- Our mission is
- to implement a plan
- that promotes and recognizes good character
- by reaching people
- from every sector of the community
- through active participation
- and involvement.
7Objectives
- Our objectives are to
- Recognize the benefits of good character
qualities - Promote a variety of ways good character
qualities can be used - Acknowledge good character qualities being
demonstrated by community members - Involve the whole community in the promotion and
use of positive character qualities - Demonstrate publicly our resolve to make
Manningham a better place in which to live, work
and play.
