14General Tips to help your child adjust to high
school
- Seek parenting resources.
- Ex Parent Tool Kit(Ontario Directors of
Education, online version available) - Look through the WCI planner. Have them explain
and record their long and short range plans for
school work. - Pay attention to homework help them learn
problem solving and understand their thinking
with probing questions. - Keep them healthy, good food and sleep are
essential. - Pay attention to their stress level. Listen to
them and involve others if safety is a concern. - Communicate with their teachers.
