Violence

• Acts of aggression and abuse that cause or are
  intended to cause injury or harm to another
  person. Ex. physical, sexual, and psychological

Physical Abuse

• When someone is being mistreated physically. Ex.
  pushing, hitting

Psychological Abuse

• When someone is being mistreated verbally, or
  emotionally. Ex. bullying, name calling, etc

Gang Violence

• Violence committed by a group of individuals.
  Can be extremely organized to unorganized.

Bullying

• The act of a person or a group who holds power
  over someone and uses that power in intimidating,
  aggressive, or violent ways

Dating Violence

• Any sexual, physical, or psychological attack on
  one partner by the other in a dating relationship

Sexual Harassment

• Unwanted sexual behaviour of any kind

Hate Crimes

• A crime committed against a person or a group of
  people because they are members of an
  identifiable group, meaning any section of the
  public who can be distinguished by colour, race,
  religion, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation.

Racism

• The belief in the superiority of a particular
  race and the prejudice, antagonism, or violence
  shown to other races as a result of this attitude.

• Violence associated to the fear of or contempt
  for, other people because of their sexual
  preference or gender identification.
