• Academys drive to improve attainment encourage
  independent learning
• Additional designated timetabled 5th lesson for
  Independent Learning for each subject.
• This lesson for independent learning is distinct
  from the Independent Study Period / Private Study
  still on 6th form timetables.

• 1. Homework which is collected in and marked
  accordingly
• 2. Weekly Independent Learning. tasks for the
  5th Period which is checked and verified by the
  teacher but not necessarily marked
