Significant Genes
  • 10 of the genes (5285/54676) significantly
changed between the two groups over the first 14
days post injury at FDR lt0.001.
  • Among these genes, 1746 changed more than 1.5
fold, of which 205 changed more than 2 fold.

Conclusions (Preliminary)
  • Comparing the temporal pattern of genomic
response in the first two weeks post trauma
between 55 patients with uncomplicated recovery
    (group 1MOFlt6, ToRlt5) and 41 patients with
    complications (MOFgt6, ToRgt14 days) show
significant differences in 10 genes in WBCs
  • Several immune response pathways (including
B-cell signaling) are seen further (or prolonged)
upregulated, while antigen presentation, many T
cell related pathways, and protein synthesis and
    post-transcriptional modifications are further
    downregulated in complicated trajectories after
    injury.
