Background

• Parallel bars are ambulatory rehabilitation
  devices
• stroke
• spinal injuries
• Often the patient can still bear weight on the
  wrists and use the bars for balance

• What if the patient cannot bear weight on his
  wrists?

• Unable to find comparable work
• Student group at Stanford created this device to
  assist rehab patients unable to weight bear
