• The White tailed deer Is a mammal. It has a
  white tail. They have brown fur. They have black
  eyes. Babies have polka dots on their backs.
  They do not have antlers. Deer have long
  legs.

DIET

• Deer eat the acorns that fall from oak
  trees in autumn. They also enjoy apples. Their
  food supply depends on the summer and deep snowy
  winters make it difficult for deer to find food.
  They eat leaves and the twigs of shrubs and trees.

• Deer need food and water to survive. Deer
  that go to the highway can get hit by cars.
