CDCR TO COUNTY JAIL
  • 60 Days prior to release
  • Risk Assessments
  • Re-entry team (drug/alcohol, mental health,
    housing, employment, PO, recovery coaches,
    veterans services, general assistance)
  • Establish relationship with client (and family)
    in creation of a case plan

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL APPROACHES
  • Addresses criminal thinking
  • Three elements of Thinking for a Change
  • Cognitive self change (thoughts and feelings)
  • Social skills (behaviors/body language/verbal)
  • Problem solving skills (decision making)
  • Starts in custody/cooperation with Sheriff
  • Provided in three locations out of custody
    (nights and Saturdays)
  • Staff, CBOs and Recovery Coaches have also been
    trained in T4C as facilitators
