- UDC Token (including SIM / licenses) has to be
plugged into the system that should be upgraded - Boot system from UDC Token or CD (ISO file can be
found on UDC Token) - Licence will be generated out of the licence pool
the customer has purchased and fixed to the
system that is about to be installed - Previous Data on the Flash / harddrive will be
deleted !!! - IGEL embedded Linux will be installed to the
storage (Flash / HDD) - Licence is transferred to the system
- System reboots and starts fully licensed

storage (Flash / HDD) - System reboots and starts Universal Desktop
without license - IGEL Universal Management Suite recognizes
unlicensed systems - UDC Token (including SIM / licenses) has to be
inserted into UMS server - UMS generates licenses out of the licence pool
the customer has purchased and deploys licenses
to unlicensed systems
