  • 3. A capacity to give meanings to selected sounds

    the sound presentation

  • Good listeners respond to the speaker with

  • Any response that makes speaker aware of
    importance of his/her presence

  • Type on the laptop
  • Read a book
  • Watch the TV
  • Interrupt and argue
  • Make faces at the speaker

  • Be physically and mentally alert
  • Tune in to what the speaker is saying
  • Give right responses to questions asked
  • Interact respectfully with the speaker on the
    topic and exchange ideas
