1. Preparation
  • watch purpose (e.g., why are you giving pres.)
  • pay attention to audience but be sensible (e.g.,
    dont use too many personal pronouns of
    reference maintain contact with audience)
  • be focused (e.g., rather than giving audience
    individual handouts, have them focus on
    presentation on screen via overhead machine
    computer)
  • be clear (e.g., explain unknown terms)
