  • Students will list types of weather and construct
    scenarios that may have caused each outcome.
    Students will also use a graph and map to assess
    the climate of the various parts of the Eastern
    Hemisphere.

  • Create a list of various types of weather.

Weather Fronts
  • Front The place where two air masses of
    different temperatures meet is called a front.
  • Turn and talk Hypothesize What do you think
    can happen when cold air and warm air meet?

Stop fronting!
  • MOST (not all) storms are caused by colliding
    fronts.
  • Fronts can cause rain, snow, sleet, hail, thunder
    and lighting storms, blizzards, hurricanes and
    tornados.
