• To the Greeks, great storytelling was a very
  important part of their culture.
• Homer, who wrote The Iliad and the The Odyssey,
  was a famous Greek writer.

Elements Usually found in Greek Myths

1. Myths may have been written to explain a natural
   phenomena, such as why the sun rises, etc.
2. They usually contain good and evil royalty, such
   as kings, princesses, etc.
3. It is common for sons to be raised by someone
   other than their parents.
4. Myths contain imaginative creatures, people, and
   animals displaying unusual qualities.

1. There is often the use of magic to undermine the
   hero or move the plot along.
2. The gods play a significant role in helping or
   hindering the main characters.
3. The good characters of the story all show
   similar characteristics young, handsome,
   clever, etc.
4. Myths often rely on the belief in fate, which
   cannot be changed regardless of the characters
   actions

  the name of the story next to the element. Which
