The Grand History of it

• Make-A-Wish foundation started in 1980
• The first person to get his wish was a 7-year old
  boy named Christopher who had leukemia and
  dreamed of being a police officer and a police
  officer promised him a tour and a ride in the
  helicopter
• Sadly Christopher passed away the next day but
  not before living his dream

Their Mission

• The mission of Make-A-Wish is to help terminally
  ill children get a wish
• There is over 25,000 Volunteers currently
• Only kids under the age of 18 get there wishes

Accomplishments

• Make-A-Wish Grants a wish every 40 minutes now
• They have granted over 167,000 children around
  the world
• It is one of the most well known foundations
