What STDs can be cured?

• Chlamydia

Chlamydia

• Chlamydia is the most commonly reported STD in
  the United States.
• Sexually active females 25 years old and younger
  need testing every year.
• Easy to cure, Chlamydia can impact a womans
  ability to have children if left untreated.

Gonorrhea

• Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD)
  caused by a bacterium. Gonorrhea can grow in the
  reproductive tract, including the cervix, uterus,
  and fallopian tubes in women, and in the urethra
  (urine canal) in women and men. The bacterium can
  also grow in the mouth, throat, eyes, and anus.
• Many men with gonorrhea are asymptomatic. When
  present, signs and symptoms of urethral infection
  in males include a white, yellow, or green
  urethral discharge that usually appears one to
  fourteen days after infection.
• Signs in women include increased vaginal
  discharge, or vaginal bleeding between periods
  and possible infertility.

Syphilis

• Syphilis is easy to cure in its early stages.
• Signs and symptoms of syphilis include a firm,
  round, small, and painless sore on the genitals,
  anus, or mouth, or a rash on the body, especially
  on the palms of the hands or the soles of the
  feet.

What STDs are incurable?

• HIV/AIDS
• Herpes
• HPV/Genital Warts

HIV/Aids

• HIV is a virus spread through body fluids that
  affects specific cells of the immune system,
  called CD4 cells, or T cells. Over time, HIV can
  destroy so many of these cells that the body
  cant fight off infections and disease. When this
  happens, HIV infection leads to AIDS.

HERPES

• You can get genital herpes even if your partner
  shows no signs of the infection.
• If you have any symptoms (like a sore on your
  genitals, especially one that periodically
  recurs) laboratory tests can help determine if
  you have genital herpes.
• There is no cure for herpes, but treatment is
  available to reduce symptoms and decrease the
  risk of transmission to a partner.

Genital Warts

• Genital human papillomavirus (also called HPV) is
  the most common sexually transmitted infection
  (STI).
• There are more than 40 HPV types that can infect
  the genital areas of males and females.
• HPV types can also infect the mouth and throat.
  Most people who become infected with HPV do not
  know they have it.

Dating Mistakes

• Do you attach or mold yourself to the other
  person?
• Can you stand on your own two feet without the
  other person?
• Do you jeopardize important relationships with
  friends and family members to be with your
  boyfriend/girlfriend?
• Do you have low expectations for your
  relationship? Do you hope that things will get
  better?

  or objects with personal value

• Having received advice to leave the relationship
• Forcing one to cut ties with other friends and
  family members
• Afraid or frightened by the others actions
• Condescending treatment
• Constantly creating excuses or defending behavior

  treatment. Call to make an appointment
• Doctors office offers testing and treatment but
  person will be responsible for payment
