- Lets look at the possessive adjectives first.
- There are two sets.
- The first set goes before the noun.
3Possessive Adjectives (before the noun)
Since they are adjectives, they agree in number
and gender (only with our). The change is with
the nouns they modify, not with the person(s) who
own or possess the object.

- To form the possessive pronouns, use the long
form of possessive adjectives proceded by the
definite article. - Both the article and the possessive must agree in
number and gender with the noun they replace.
8Possessive pronouns
Possessive pronouns are the words which replace
nouns modified by possessive adjectives. In
Spanish there are different forms of possessive
pronouns depending on whether the noun is
masculine or feminine, singular or plural.

- We often omit the article between the verb ser
and the possessive pronoun. - Esas maletas son nuestras.
- Mi hermano siempre dice que toda la culpa es mía.
