    in the past
  • 1. El Pretérito
  • 2. El Imperfecto

El Pretérito
  • Specific actions in the past (you can prove
    it).I arrived at 300 yesterday. (It happened
    and I can prove it. check the flight records at
    300 yesterday!)llegué a las tres ayer.Lisa
    studied from 200-500 yesterday.Lisa estudió de
    las dos hasta las cinco ayer.

  • Imperfect is more general NOT specificI used to
    dance. (No real proof that I actually
