Program Description
  • Before school program would open at 700 a.m.
  • After School Program would close at 600 p.m.
  • Breakfast would be served before school and snack
    would be provided after school
  • Care provided for delayed start, early dismissal,
    snow days, and vacations
  • Program could be in up to seven schools.

Staffing
  • Full time Program Director will oversee full
    program under the supervision of the Director of
    the Enfield Child Development Center
  • Certified Head Teacher at each school
  • Assistant Teachers with experience working with
    children
  • Staffing to children ratio 113

Fees
  • Weekly Rates
  • AM only 30
  • PM only 40
  • AM PM 60
  • Reduction in rates for additional siblings
  • In service/ snow days/ vacation days 15-20 per
    day
  • Sliding fee for Care for Kids eligible families
    rates will be from 0-60 per week

Minimum Enrollment Numbers
  • Would need a minimum of 25 children in each
    school for after school programs
  • Would need minimum of 20 children in each school
    for before school program Program would be
    cancelled if enrollment did not reach this number
  • Would need a minimum of 12 Kindergarteners in
    each school- If numbers were low, would explore
    possibility of program providing busing with cost
    to parents
  • Would request BOE after school busing from
    in-district sister schools if numbers were too
    low

Summer Program
  • Open 7 a.m -6 p.m.
  • Sliding fee scale weekly 0-150
  • Staff Student Ratio 110
  • Would require air conditioning in program areas

Sources of Revenue
  • Parent fees
  • Care for Kids (Assistance for income eligible
    families)
  • CACFP (Federally funded food and nutrition
    program)
  • These are reliable sources of income
  • Other sources to enhance program and reduce and
    maintain affordable rates will be developed
