2 Developing Your Child's 21st Century Social
Skills
Fast, measurable, and personalized social skills
development for your child
3All young people need to develop key social
skills to thrive in the 21st Century, all of
which can be learned and developed through
participation in the Bristow Centers Core
Program.
The Bristow Center is a place for all children to
develop and gain the skills required to navigate
the social nuances of the modern world, free from
stigma and with a strong emphasis on mental
wellness.
4Transforming Your Childs Social Skills
We help members develop problem solving
strategies as well as the chance to practice and
generalize new skills in a safe, controlled --
and fun -- setting. Our program is designed for
children with or without a diagnostic label who
struggle with social interactions. Your child's
initial placement within the 4 Levels of our
curriculum is based on their current
developmental social skill set and other
factors. The Bristow Center is committed to
teaching our children the core concepts they lack
and the ability to self-advocate, expanding on
the nuances of every day social awareness. The
benefits will create stronger social
problem-solvers and effective communicators. They
will become more confident young adults who will
maintain better relationships in all facets of
their lives.
5Each stage tracks the development of our members.
Our curriculum focuses on a myriad of social
concepts which all involve building skill sets
within Internal Awareness of Self, External
Awareness of Others, and Social Skill
Integration -- the actual application and
practice of the learned skill sets. Our goal is
to make sure that every member has a firm
foundation in each of the social concepts taught
before advancing to the next level of the
curriculum.
