I am learning to add with 1 decimal place
fractions.
Questions like 3.7 2 .5 ?

Craig has 1 whole chocolate bar and 4 tenths of a
chocolate bar. In another room he has 2 chocolate
bars and 8 tenths.
Step 1 Imagine the two amounts.
Step 2 Join the tenths together.

You can see that there are now 4 whole chocolate
bars and 2 tenths.
