APT Preparations for WTSA-12

• The First APT Preparatory Meeting for WTSA-12 was
  held on 27 May 2011 immediately following the
  18th ASTAP.
• Meeting agreed on the structure and selected key
  office bearers.
• 2nd Meeting 27-28 October 2011, Manila,
  Philippines immediately following the 19th ASTAP

• Confirmation of Office Bearers of the Preparatory
  Groups
• Discussion on Issues Papers on key issues of
  interest to APT members and Asia-Pacific Region
• Identification of key issues of interest to APT
  members and Asia-Pacific Region
• Identification of WTSA Resolutions related to
  each Correspondence Group
• Agreement on creation of email reflectors for
  each Correspondence Group
• Agreement on discussion and development of
  Preliminary APT Common Proposals for WTSA-2012
  through email correspondence prior to 3rd APT
  Preparatory Meeting for WTSA-2012
• Approval of Approval Procedure for APT Common
  Proposal for WTSA

Future meetings of APT Prep Group for WTSA-12

• 3rd Meeting 19-21 March 2012, Cairns, Australia
• Will develop draft proposals for WTSA-12 based on
  the issue papers and contributions from members.
• 4th Meeting August 2012
• Final meeting of prep group. Will finalize any
  proposals to WTSA-12. Will discuss on
  coordination arrangements during WTSA-12. Will
  discuss on proposal from other regions and
  countries and will decide on the position of APT
  countries.
