to deceive so that they would not reveal their
true nature and identity.

and workers. This implies that they would have
to teach enough truth to deceive those around
them.

righteousness, . . . (v 15) - Paul stated that we should not be surprised when
the ministers of Satan transform themselves into
ministers of righteousness. While they may teach
the truth in some areas, they are deceitful
workers, teaching false doctrine in other areas.
