Geography

• The study of the Earth and everything in or on it.

Location

• Where a place is. There are two types of
  Location Absolute Location and Relative Location

Absolute Location

• Exact place on the Earth using Latitude and
  Longitude (x,y) or street address.

Relative location

• Explains where a place is by its relation to
  another place by distance, direction, or a
  landmark.

Place

• Describes what its like there using Physical and
  Man Made Features

Physical Features

• Natural landmarks. Ex. mountains, rivers,
  beaches, and animal and plant life of a place.

Human Features

• Used to describe a place by the man made features
  (bridges, roads, buildings,etc)

Human-Environment Interaction

• How humans adapt, depend, and modify to their
  environment.

Movement

• The mobility of people and their ideas, language,
  goods (culture)

Region

• An area on the earth's surface that has common
  characteristics. (Religion, Sports Teams,
  Language)
