Theme 1 Location

• Tells where on the earth something is found
• There are two types of location
• Absolute
• Relative

Absolute Location

• Uses longitude and latitude to tell exactly where
  a spot is on the face of the earth

• Longitude lines measure East and West of the
  Prime Meridian
• Latitude Lines measure North and South of the
  equator

  in a certain area of the earth. This can include
  natural physical features such as climate,
  landforms, vegetation, or man-made structures
  like roads, buildings, etc
