  partnership with the Rouge Park, with funding
  support from the watershed municipalities
• The proposed plan will
• Document studies completed on the watershed
• Identify issues for the watershed
• Recommendation management actions set
  priorities
• Outline potential funding mechanisms
• Forge new partnership opportunities
• Describe roles and responsibilities for actions

Not Starting From Scratch

• TRCA and others have been studying this watershed
  and neighbouring watersheds
• Background Information has been gathered as part
  of the City of Pickering Growth Management Study
  and the Provinces 2006 Central Pickering
  Development Plan
• Recognize that there may be gaps in knowledge,
  which will be addressed as management actions in
  our study
• Water quality, groundwater surface hydrology,
  terrestrial natural heritage fisheries, erosion,
  stormwater, public use (trails) information
  available to guide this study
• TRCA and Rouge Park staff have been looking at
  restoration opportunities
• TRCA and Rouge Park have some significant land
  holdings.
• Central Pickering Development Plan, Green Belt
  and Rouge Park Plan(s)
