Greek and Latin Elements
  • Micro, Mega, and Hyper come from the Greek
    language and Super comes from Latin.
  • All four meanings relate to size or degree.
  • Micro means small, Mega means great, Hyper means
    over or beyond, and Super means over or above.

    a combination of lenses for inspecting objects
    too small to be seen or too small to be seen
    distinctly and in detail by the unaided eye
  • We use a microscope to see bacteria.
