• Ways to Create Value when mixing with paint -
• 1 - Start with white!
• Always add black to the white paint. You can
  always go darker, but it takes a lot of paint to
  go lighter.
• 2 - Add VERY small amounts of black. Black paint
  can be overpowering so you dont need much to
  darken your colors.
• 3 - Clean your brush with water and paper towel.
  It will prevent bleeding of colors in brush.
  This is true when mixing all color with paint. A
  clean brush will help you achieve more pure
  color.
• 4 - Colors will lighten slightly as they dry, so
  keep this in mind as you paint
• 5 - Dont rush. Take your time
