• Researchers have concluded that autism can be
  passed on genetically but there are also some
  environmental factors that influence autism
• Autistic student can improve social interaction
  with age, but you cant out grow autism.

• There is a screen tool for ASD that relies on
  interview of doctors, teachers and parents to
  determine if the student has autism.
• A multidisciplinary team ofpsychologist,
  neurologist, psychiatrist, speech therapist, and
  other professionals who diagnose children with
  ASDs

• Your family can have a genetic predisposition for
  autisms
• It is a complex and rare mutations of genes that
  causes the condition
• Environmental factors involved with this
  condition.
• 29 of the students who have autism are male and
  18 are female

  treat the anxiety, depression and hyper activity
  of the condition.

• Autism spectrum disorder is a hard disease to
  nail down you have people who are active and
  other are like ostriches who bury their head in
  the sand
• The standard for planning for interventions is
  the the Applied Behavior Analysis assessment
• Each student is different as far educational
  planning goes
