Canada Corporations Act

1.) Tax Liability

• Unlimited Personal Liability for collection and
  remittance of WSIB, Provincial and federal Taxes
  as well as filing of taxes.
• Due Diligence and the right accountant are
  essential.

2.) Employment Practices

• Wrongful Dismissal, wrongful promotion,
  harassment, constructive dismissal can all lead
  to a financial loss which is not covered by
  traditional coverage

Bill C45

• Commonly referred to as the Westray Bill
• The Legislation imposes criminal liability on
  persons who direct work that results in injury or
  death to employees!

3.) Environmental Liability

• Clean up costs ordered by the Ministry of
  Environment can be in the hundreds of thousands,
  traditional insurance does not cover these costs
  and any fines or penalties as a result of an
  incident.

  sites pose potentials for not only financial loss

Forest Fire Fighting Expenses

• To cover expenses that you will pay as a result
  of the Ministry of Natural Resources fighting a
  fire that was as a result of operations at your
  drill site or premises.

Underground Operations

• Traditional Liability policies exclude ground
  movement, weakening of supports and operations
  below surface.
• The CDDA Program does not have this exclusion in
  the Policy!

Worldwide Operations

• Traditional Insurance policies limit your
  operations to Canada and do not extend coverage
  for areas like the US, or Europe. The CDDA
  Program covers your operations worldwide with no
  excluded areas.
