  • Should be about 2 pages
  • Include reference contact information
  • List your objective, followed by your education
    and certifications earned

Do Not Include Work Experience, Instead.
  • Title it Professional Experience
  • Include everything related to teaching, both
    content and young people related
  • List positions and activities starting with the
    most recent experiences first
  • Show increased responsibility
  • Use short, active sentences that describe what
    you did or learned
  • Provide dates

  • Professional Experience Begin with student
    teaching!
  • Honors and Activities
  • Skills
  • References

General Suggestions
  • Use natural toned stationary that copies well
  • Use readable fonts that match the cover letter
  • Triple check grammar and spelling!
  • Use a format that is easy to glance for
    information, that copies clean
  • Do NOT include personal information like height,
    weight, health status, marital status, or
    religious beliefs
