Title: God provided us with pure water
1God provided us with pure water but man has
contaminated it with pollution. And to correct
his error he has destroyed it even further by
adding chemicals. Our water is no longer pure!
2The Water In Your Tap May Be Drinkable, But
Is It Pure?
3If Youre Concerned About the Health and
Longevity of Your Loved Ones Then Pay Careful
Attention. Sit Back and Enjoy a Presentation of
Some Interesting Facts on Natures Precious
Commodity As We Start Our Journey On a Quest
For Water PURE WATER
- Water is the most precious life
- sustaining resource on earth.
- Without it life will cease to exist
- Sure we cannot destroy water , but man and
- his modern technology is polluting water
- faster than nature can cleanse it.
But worse we are polluting this precious
resource with contaminants that never existed
before.
4Ways in Which Our Water Gets Contaminated
Pesticides used in agriculture seep into our
water sources
5Industrial pollution attaches itself to water
particles and comes back to our water sources as
rain
6Effluent discharged by industry into our rivers
is constantly increasing
7Municipal authorities do a good job in supplying
us with DRINKABLE tap water But Most
municipal Treatment plants are out dated due to
lack of funds and they simply cant keep up with
the rate of pollution. Further more, not all of
the water that the Municipality supplies is used
for drinking, most of it is used for washing and
watering the garden its too costly to purify
all the water they provide to you.
Kilometers of old and corroded pipes make it
impossible to supply pure water to your tap.
Therefore the best place to purify your water is
at the point of use. AT YOUR TAP !
8You Can No Longer Trust the Water Supply Coming
Through Your Tap AnymoreYour Water May Look
Clean, But the Question is, is it Pure?
- The US enjoys one of the best water supplies in
the world, but youd never know it judging by the
number of people slogging bottles of designer
water wherever they go. - Bottled water has taken South Africa by storm
too, available at shops and convenience stores at
a whopping R6 per half a litre. Last year bottled
water products sold for 7 billion in the US
alone. - Its safe to then assume that many are
skeptical about what is coming out of our taps. - Lynn Keiley

9Some Common Water Contaminants
- Pesticides
- Pesticides, particularly popular weed killers
such as Atrazine, have been found in nearly every
stream tested. Municipal laws allow for minute
quantities of pesticides in Municipal water.
Debate continues about the possible health
effects of these legal amounts of pesticides in
our drinking water. - Nitrates
- Although adults can tolerate high levels
reasonably well, Nitrates can be very dangerous
for infants, reducing their bloods ability to
effectively transport oxygen. - Arsenic
- Arsenic finds its way into water supplies from
both natural sources and human activity. Chronic
exposure to low levels of Arsenic can cause
cancer, skin lesions, circulatory problems and
nervous system disorders.
10Heavy Metals in Your Tap Water For some the term
heavy metal, conjures up images of wailing
guitars, thunderous drums and stacks of
amplifiers. Although those power chords can harm
our ears at high volume, the heavy metals found
in our nations tap water are far more harmful.
Heavy metals are inorganic, chemical elements,
with relatively high density and are toxic even
at low concentrations.
Some examples include Mercury, Arsenic, Chromium,
Cadmium, Nickel and Lead. Left unchecked, Lead
can give rise to chronic brain and kidney damage,
as well as blood disorders. Homes with children,
senior citizens and people with immune system
problems are particularly vulnerable. Heavy
metals enter our bodies in various ways. The food
we eat, the air we breathe and mostly through the
water we drink.

13Unfiltered Tap water Actually Increases Body
Toxins
- World health organisations have identified at
least 13 000 different chemicals in tap water
throughout the world and the list is growing! - Over 700 potentially toxic chemicals in tap water
in the US alone - At least 600 new chemicals being added to the
list every year! - There are up to 500 colonies of bacteria present
in 1 ml of unfiltered water! - According to the US Council of Environmental
Quality, the risk of cancer to people who drink
chlorinated water is 93 higher than those whose
water does not contain chlorine.
14If 75 of Our Body is Made Up Of Water
Shouldnt We Make Sure That Its Pure?
15The Water Electrolysis Test
Electrolysis is the separation of a liquid into
its component parts. Thus unmasking the
impurities in the water. Distilling, freezing and
heating are a few of the physical methods to
separate a substance into its individual
components. But water is a little more tricky.
None of these methods separate water. After
freezing, distilling and heating water, what
remains is still water. Fortunately a new method
has been developed, that was first used at the
beginning of the 19th century. This method uses
electricity hence the term used to describe the
separation of water is electrolysis.

17This Is What Is Formed In Your Kidneys As A
Result of Drinking Contaminated Water!
Without water, we would be poisoned to death by
our own waste products. When the kidneys remove
uric acid and urea, these waste products must be
dissolved in water. If there isnt enough water,
wastes are not removed as effectively and build
up as kidney stones. If the water is not pure
even more toxins will be added into the kidneys
and the water will do more harm than good.

20WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS
- What impurities will reverse osmosis remove?
- Reverse osmosis (RO) has become a common method
for the treatment of household drinking water
supplies. RO treatment can be used to reduce the
levels of - Naturally occurring substances that cause water
supplies to be unhealthy or unappealing (foul
tastes, smells or colors). - Substances that have contaminated the water
supply resulting in possible adverse health
effects or decreased desirability. - RO systems are typically used to reduce the
levels of total dissolved solids and suspended
matter. The principal uses of reverse osmosis is
for the reduction of high levels of nitrate,
sulfate, sodium and total dissolved solids. - RO units with carbon filters may also reduce the
level of some SOCs (soluble organic compounds)
like pesticides, dioxins.
