INTRODUCTION

• In Rwanda, companies involved in international
  trade have to regularly prepare and submit large
  volumes of information and documents to
  government authorities to comply with import,
  export and transit-related regulatory requirements

• One approach to address this issue is the
  establishment of a Single Window
• whereby
• trade related information and/or documents can be
  submitted once at a single entry point.

WHAT IS SINGLE WINDOW?

• Single Window is a procedure that allows
  parties involved in trade and transport to lodge
  standardized information and documents with a
  single entry point to fulfill all import, export,
  and transit-related regulatory requirements.

targeted recipients ( agencies, bank
,etc .) in the proper sequence or flow and
returns responses to trader

WHY SINGLE WINDOW?

• ESW is to make the processes of international
  trade as simple and efficient as possible for
  traders, concerned public authorities and
  government agencies.

• A Shift from bilateral or one to one manual
  transactions to a community network where all
  stakeholders are linked to each other through one
  electronic data exchange hub
