CBCC Enrollment Process
Applicant goes to FAST location and requests to
be enrolled in the CBCC. Applicant is required
to provide Texas DL or ID to FAST representative.
CBCC Status Sheet mailed to enrollee at address
provided to FAST.
Criminal Background Check Clearinghouse
After fingerprint identification, applicant is
enrolled in CBCC.
Electronic copy of applicants fingerprints
photo is submitted to AFIS.
Applicant Pays 24.99 for acquisition and
submission of fingerprints and photo to DPS.
This charge also covers the cost of the
background check.

CBCC Inquiry From a Qualified Entity
Applicants informs Qualified Entity that he/she
is enrolled in the CBCC and presents DL/ID card
to the entity representative.
CBCC check based on Name, Sex, Race, DL
Qualified Entity will pay 1 for each CBCC check.
Criminal Background Check Clearinghouse
Qualified Entity
CBCC Status Record
Subscription Transaction
Hire / No hire decision is made. If applicant is
hired, the qualified entity can subscribe to the
applicants records and receive any future Texas
criminal history updates for the person in
question.
